  • Eat this not that

I saw this book on Amazon.com and decided to get it. To me if your gonna have a bad day- At least choose the two lesser of evils. hehe. Some people hate this book because it's not supporting a healthy lifestyle. But what it does do is show that you can choose the healthiest of the unhealthy at least. I look forward to reading it.

Here is a link to a eat this or that quiz game. I found it to be very interesting and fun. http://www.menshealth.com/eatthis/game/ let me know how you did :)   Christina

  • Hubby and I went grocery shopping today.

We spent $388.00 on food for the month. or maybe month and a half. These are the dinners I have come up with for the family. Remind you for the entire family consist of 2 adults and 2 teen boys.= who I swear are always hungry.

Baked Chicken breat/Rice Ronie/ Mixed vegies
    Burrito's/mexican Rice roni/ Corn
Mexican lasagna- you use corn tortillias  instead of noodles.
    Shepard's pie
Baked chicken breast/Mash pototoes/grave/ mix vegies.
    Pita Pizza's-
    Reg pizza-Frozen
    Corn dogs/Corn/seasoned potato wedges
Hot and spicy chicken wings/Mash potatoes/ vegies
    Lasagna
    Cabbage soup
    Mexica soupa
    Beef Stew
    Chicken enchiladas

And those are just dinner ideas.. not including breakfast  and lunch. I have alot of corn tortilla's and there different things you can do with those.
But I think i'm going to just stick to the chicken and veg's. I'm going to try and skip all the potatoes and rice. But If I end up having the rice and potatoes I'll just have a little.
We have alot of strawberries, I bought 2 bags of frozen blueberries -for panacakes and other stuff. I also saved myself a mango :) yum.

    Breakfast
    Oatmeal
    Cream of wheat
    Pancake
    scrambled eggs/cheese/corn tortilla
Cornbeef has/eggs/ little sausage dogs- this is for my husband he loves that stuff. its a days worth of calories I think.. I won't eat it.

Lunches are basicly sandwiches with chips with some fruit.

If I was on my own
a whole lot of vege's and fruits- chicken/fish/turkey. some whole wheat  Pita bread. Cheese, nuts and frozen yogurt. and that's basically it  But I'm not just feeding myself.

O'well. I can only with what I have.
